Just so we are on the same page – a micro wedding is an intimate celebration, typically with 50 guests or less. These weddings focus on the meaningful details that matter most to you and your partner, rather than a large guest list. Having a smaller wedding allows you to allocate your budget toward memorable details like stunning photography, premium catering, or an amazing honeymoon that a big wedding doesn’t always allow. It is really all about what is most important to you!

Encore Boston Harbor*
Encore offers a luxurious and all-inclusive experience, with onsite catering and even floral arrangements to make your wedding planning stress-free. They can accommodate weddings of all sizes, but lowering your guest list can allow you to add more high-end options. Plus the hotel rooms are incredible and be sure to schedule a day at the spa! 

Warehouse XI*
This modern, industrial space in Somerville is perfect for couples looking for a blank slate to create their dream micro wedding. You can select your own vendor team and design a wedding that feels truly personal to you. 

Lenox Hotel
Located in the heart of Boston, the Lenox offers historic charm and an intimate setting for your small wedding celebration. The elaborate gilded domed ballroom is an incredible place to say “I do!”

Hampshire House
This iconic venue overlooks the Boston Public Garden in the heart of Beacon Hill. It is an elegant and cozy space for a small ceremony and reception with an incredible fireplace that would be perfect for a winter micro wedding. 

Boston Public Library (BPL)
While known for its grand architecture and history, the BPL is a great option in the heart of the city. For weddings with fewer than 50 guests, they suggest a ceremony in the courtyard, dinner in the courtyard Tea Room, and dancing in the Map Room Tea Lounge. The Catered Affair is their in-house caterer who will assist in creating the perfect menu.

Boston’s North Shore Mico Wedding Venues

Oceanview of Nahant*
A waterfront gem offering stunning ocean views and a variety of indoor-outdoor spaces for micro weddings. They have great micro-wedding packages that include food, drinks, ceremony space, and rentals from Monday to Wednesday and on Sundays for an allotted 4.5 hours.  

South Shore Small Wedding Venues

Mirbeau Inn & Spa Plymouth*
This romantic French-inspired retreat is ideal for a weekend away! With guest rooms on the property as well as a restaurant and spa, it is a great place for a destination-feel wedding. Their venues are luxurious and perfect for intimate wedding celebrations with all-inclusive packages. 

Pelham House Resort
This is one of Cape Cod’s most well-known venues for a reason! This venue sitting right on the ocean is perfect for a chic and personalized wedding experience. They offer a variety of spaces for smaller gatherings like the garden view suite, patio, or Nantucket Sound Room. 

Cohasset Sailing Club
This venue offers a charming coastal setting for your small celebration for up to 4 hours. Rentals are not available in January, February, June, July, or August, but has beautiful ocean views if you can snag a date! 

Hammond Castle
For a truly unique wedding, this medieval-inspired venue combines history, romance, and intimate spaces. Located in Gloucester, MA you can host an incredible ceremony in the garden and reception in the castle.

This historic inn offers a picturesque and cozy setting for couples who love New England charm. They offer all-inclusive packages for micro weddings with incredible food and staff. Plus – you and your guests can stay on the property! 

Inn on Boltwood, Amherst*
Located in the heart of Amherst, this venue combines elegance and intimacy with stunning grounds. Your guests can stay on the property and they offer special packages for 30 guests or less with things like your bridal bouquet and a four-course meal! 

Glendale Ridge Vineyard
The perfect location for wine lovers! This Western MA venue offers panoramic views and a casual laid-back setting. This affordable venue allows you to rent indoor or outdoor space or put up a rented tent. You can select your own caterer and choose to incorporate a wine tasting. 

Mass MoCA
As one of the largest centers for contemporary visual art and performing arts in the United States, this venue is perfect for couples seeking an artsy and contemporary vibe. The museum offers unique spaces for a creative and intimate wedding that would make your micro wedding truly unique!
