It was a magical morning capturing Taylor and Brenden’s engagement session at the Boston Public Library! After spending some time with this couple it is easy to see how in love they are.

Their love story began when they met in college at the Wentworth Institute of Technology back in 2017. They still live in the city and spend time exploring new areas, trying new restaurants, and traveling. Brenden proposed while they were on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy on the Amalfi coast. It was by far their favorite trip they have ever taken together as a couple and ended up being the most memorable. We wanted their engagement photos to mimic the vibe of the upcoming wedding at Bradley Estate – timeless, chic, & sophisticated!

We met up at the library promptly at 8 AM in the iconic Bates Hall. Photography is not allowed while the library is open, so we organized a time for their session and had the library all to ourselves. Taylor and Brenden arrived looking effortlessly sophisticated. Brenden wore a classic black suit and Taylor in a stunning white dress. The intricate details of Taylor’s ring added an extra touch of elegance to the session. The entire time we were together they exuded warmth and love, making every moment a joy to capture. We took our time walking through the library enjoying the architecture and beautiful setting.

As we ventured outside to the courtyard, we lucked out with perfect weather on this October day. The fountains and architecture provide a picturesque backdrop.

Taylor changed into a second dress (see a similar one here) and we left the library and headed into Copley Square. The blazer dress perfectly complemented the city setting with a chic sophistication. We walked across the street to the renowned Fairmont Copley Plaza to capture a few more portraits.

By the end of the session, I found myself pushing the boundaries of my creativity, exploring new techniques, and challenging myself as a visual artist. Despite the artistic experimentation, my focus remained on creating timeless images that perfectly encapsulated the essence of Taylor and Brendan’s love story. It was a rewarding experience that allowed me to grow as a photographer while delivering the stunning results the couple had envisioned!
