As a Boston wedding photographer, I love helping couples create a wedding day that reflects what matters most to them. Madeline and Conner chose an intimate Boston City Hall elopement followed by portraits throughout the city, celebrating eight and a half years together before flying to Italy that evening.
Madeline and Conner met in pharmacy school in Boston before moving to Connecticut after graduation. Rather than planning a large wedding, they decided to save for their first home and celebrate with an intimate ceremony on their anniversary, surrounded by their closest family.
One of the advantages of an intimate wedding is the flexibility to build a timeline around the locations that matter most. We began at the Boston Harbor Hotel with a private first look before heading to Fan Pier Park for waterfront portraits. After their ceremony at Boston City Hall, we took family photos and Boston Public Garden wedding portraits, making the most of a quiet summer afternoon in the city.
The day ended at SAVR with lunch, a small cake cutting, and a champagne spray before they headed to the airport for their honeymoon.
If you’re considering a similar experience, I’ve also shared my Guide to Planning a Boston Elopement, where I cover everything from creating a timeline to choosing the best portrait locations throughout the city.

Working with couples on intimate weddings allows me to tailor coverage around their vision instead of a traditional timeline. For Madeline and Conner, that meant experiencing several of Boston’s most iconic locations while keeping the day relaxed and focused on the people who mattered most.
If you’re looking for a Boston wedding photographer for your Boston City Hall wedding, intimate celebration, or elopement, I’d love to help you create a photography experience that’s tailored to you. Together, we’ll build a timeline that allows you to enjoy your wedding day while making the most of Boston’s incredible locations.
